Susan is an instructor at College of the Sequoias. She has been an English intstructor full time for 9 years, part time 5 years before that. Susan grew up on a ranch in Selma, but went to Kingsburg schools. Most of her married life was spent living in Easton. Then her family moved to Visalia. She waited until after her three children were grown to go back to school. She first attended Fresno City College, then went on to Fresno State. Susan received a Master's Degree in English. Susan really enjoys writing,especially short story fiction, but knew that she couldn't make a living off of that so she decided to join the teaching field. Since Susan still lives on a ranch in Visalia, her hobbies include keeping the ranch in good condition. She preserves fruits. On her ranch, Susan grows walnuts, oranges, persimmons, and tree fruit.
